The Design

As a currently derelict commercial property, a well designed sustainable enterprise centre is a superb future use for the land. Many villages and rural locations have seen local workspaces disappear to housing, and as such our proposal is in contemporary demand with many village neighbourhood plans stating there is a shortage of such facilities.

Often when commercial property is built it is very often designed opposed to nature rather than alongside. Grey industrial and office parks erected around a grey courtyard with a water feature neither appeal to everyone nor offer what is specifically needed by businesses and individuals. Tilford Enterprise Centre will be different - designed with nature rather than against, it will provide a stunning, natural centre from which to base your business operations.

What will the studios look like?

Externally

Single to one-and-a-half story height buildings, with a mixture of rendered and cladded walls. Flat, low-pitched, and slanted roof areas with a mix of green roofing and solar panelling. There will be gravel parking areas outside each unit with a car charging point, as well as a visitors car park. Sympathetic yet modern sustainable outside seating areas, likely a mixture of tables and benches potentially made from either reclaimed wood or sustainable recycled composite, will allow for outside working and a lovely place for lunch on sunny days.
There will be semi-natural hedgerows surrounding the site with native trees and plants, as well as various planted beds. Our plan is to avoid the most common hay fever triggers where possible, whilst still creating a natural look. We aim for the landscaping to be human and wildlife friendly as well as beautiful. 

Internally

Bright and airy, with white walls as standard in the studios themselves. Polished concrete flooring will allow for tenants to add flooring on top if needed, or left clear for a hardwearing floor.
